Codes for Shadow Man
Pseudo Crash Patch:
More than a cheat, this is a patch to fix some error in game. There's a known patch published by acclaim that attempts to fix crashes in the game, but i found that it doesn't fix this one. The problem apparently appears only in the non-English versions; it's related to the cutscene scripts. You arrive to a point in the game where you have to catch a train using an engineer's key. Well, once you do this, if you play a non-English version, the game crashes and returns to your desktop.
Here's the solution: You may edit the file in shadowman/data/cutscene/speech/Spanish/ (or French, or other). The file is "Script.txt." This contains the dialogs of the whole game. Well, apparently in the non-English version, the authors forgot a little part in the script. Here's what you have to do: Do a word search for "level13." The first time it appears should be something like:
<LEVEL13_SCENE00> (ASYLUM: THE CAGEWAYS)S130000S Y adentrándome ...... (more text)
Well, immediately after it finishes that part, and before the level14 script part appears, you have to add:
<LEVEL13_SCENE01> (ASYLUM: THE CAGEWAYS TRAIN)
S130100S <dummy entry - no speech - please leave>
This may fix the game.
Shadowman Cheat Menu
Do the following to get access to a cheats menu withoptions like invulnerability, all weapons, all items,infinite ammo, level select, and many more.Under the installed folder in the pathDATA\SCRIPTS\MENUS\ENGLISH are three files; E3.MSC,DEBUG.MSC, AND RELEASE.MSC. Rename RELEASE.MSC tosomething like RELEASE.MEN, then copy DEBUG.MSC toRELEASE.MSC in this same folder. Now, when the gameis started, there will be added menus where many extraoptions can be set.
