Get Extra Air
When you're about to go off a jump, hold R2. On top of the gauge there are some colors that will light up. Try to make all of them light up, and then release R2 when you're about to leave the ground.
Backflip on Flat Ground Trick
Hold L1, X, and DOWN, and then hold R2 until all the lights turn on. Now let go of the buttons except X and DOWN. If done correctly, you will do a backflip.
Get Less Air
Enter L2 and R2 just when you leave the ground.

Bunny Hop
It is possible to bunny hop your dirtbike. While not moving, hold L1 (clutch) + X (gas) + Analog-stick Down.Then, hold R2 or L2 (preload) until the bar is full. Then, release L1 (clutch) and if done correctly, you should take off into the air.Level yourself out and complete the bunnyhop. It may be a little tricky at first, but it is fun to jump on buses and and other things.You can also bunny hop, going slowly (or any time you can pull a wheelie). However, it is easiest when going very slow or staying still.
Bail
Press R1 + R2 + L1 + L2 to bail
Hints
When in air, hold clutch for fast boosts. And unlock a secret rider in the step up contest if you get 100,000 points in one run.
Race 250cc All The Time
Simply place first in the T.H.Q. U.S. Open and enables you to use 250cc in Racing, or Freestyle!
Hidden Area (Bus Jump Area)
Set timer to 10 mins to give yourself time. Get on top of the roof of the school, and ride the ramp to the second level. Continue straight until youhit the wall. Back up a bit, and use the Bunnyhop hint below to clear the wall. Go around the track and field and there will be big hills to jump.
Secret Area Warehouse Level
From start, veer to the left to miss the jump. You'll end up in a big room with the big rusted ramp and in the corner of the room there is a raisedplatform. Hit the rusted ramp at about 60 and take off sideways. You'll make it onto the platform which will take you to a secret area.
Girl in Pool
In the Vulture Gulch Track in the very back of it there are two large "ramps." One of them is a fairly large jump, but the other seems to justlaunch you up against a rock pole sort of thing. Well gather speed (about 60) and hit that ramp, do a backflip, and you might catch a glimps of thegirl chillin' at the top. Or use a 250cc and hit the ramp at around 63-64 m.p.h and hold back and jump like no other.
Do Donuts
Hold both Square and X, and hold left or right. You'll spin around in perfect circles. Hold the clutch and release it for a smoke effect.
Big Bails
When you lanch off a ramp and are in the air press L1, L2, R1, R2 all at the same time. This leads to awesome bails.
Super Bus Jump
In the bus jump modes there is a way to clear the buses when they are at 180 feet. Just go up to the top of the school roof and launch off of one of theramps and you should jump about 180 feet. The game will think you jumped the buses.
Vulture's Eye View
As soon as it says "Go!" head out of the truck and through the jump that takes you through the giant circle loop. If you land straight look to yourright and you will see some black colored rocks. Ride to the opposite side opposing the giant loop. You'll pass a road trench. When you get to that,turn around and face the black rocks and giant loop. You will notice there is a "V" of slightly light colored sand on the hill. Climb up this, and whenyou get comfortable veer to the right and you will see a ledge over the black rocks. Try to slide your bike and land on it. After you get on it goto the halfway point of the ledge and point your pbike to the seemingly verticle mountain. Give gas and you should begin climbing up. Once you makeit all the way to the top you'll be in a trench you can drive around.
Bunny Flip
This is a stoppie which soon turns into a front flip. While your driving around 20-30 m.p.h. hold foward on the D-pad and hold brake, gas, andpreload at the same time. If done correctly you should do a suicide flip and land on your wheels!
Bunny Hop
When completely stopped hold clutch, back, gas, and hold preload until it gets to the last level of green then release clutch and jump backwards intothe air! "or" Just simply hold back, gas, and preload at the same time. It doesn't go as high or far but just a quick bunny hop.
Wheelies
Simply hold either clutch or brake and hold gas. Then release clutch or brake and you'll pop up on the back wheel! (To hold a whellie give it foolthrottle while on it and gently tap foward or bacwards depending on which way it needs balanced)
Stoppie
Begin driving and suddenly hold brake and fowards on the d-pad and suddenely you well pop up on the front tire. (you can hold it up by gently tappingback or fowards to even out the balance)

There are a few places you can do this tricky little challenge. First, you can head to the high-jump. Take the turn wide so you go down the steep partand hopefully you'll hit the jump at mid-60's. Or you can try your luck at Vegas, first jump, veer a little to the left so you land on the flat. Ifboth those don't work out, give a shot at Shaffer Arena. The jump on the left seems better than the one on the right (when you start).
Surfer
Press and hold L2 or R2, then press Square + Triangle, then hit Triangle again. The name of the move is "surfer".
Long Jump Master
Head to the bus jump comp. Instead of starting at the turn, turn around from the start and head up the green hills. All the way to the top. Now head turntowards the jump. You should accumulate enough speed to go farther than 160'.
Standing Back-Flip
You have to be going very slow or at a stop to do this. Stopping is better. Press and hold X + L1 + Down at the same time. The engine will be making anoise but you won't move anywhere. While holding all three buttuons down, press and hold the jump button until the jump meter gets full. When it does,let go of R1 but keep holding Down + X. The bike should boost into the air and you should do a back flip. You can also do a giant bunny hop by doingthe same thing as the back flip but instead of holding down while in the air press forward to level out the bike.
Where To Do The Triple Back Flip
Go to the shaffer arnea Free style track and when you start off head for the second jump and pre load by pressing L2, and R2,before you hit the base of the jump and pull back and you should be able to do the tripple back flip.
Quicker Spins
To do a quicker spin, go off any jump in any mode and hold the clutch (L1) while you're in air and turn. You should spin faster!
Unlock More Tracks
Most people who own the game know this, but for those who rent, play through career mode to unlock race/freestyle tracks. For freestyle, wait till thetrack opens up in the week, and place 3rd or better. Remember Save!
